Richie Kohler Dives The Britannic
Join Oceanblue Divers as we welcome renowned shipwreck and technical research diver Richie Kohler (a main figure in the book "Shadow Divers," and co-star of the show "Deep Sea Detectives (Discovery Channel) to our November happy hour where he'll be talking about his recent expedition to HMHS Britannic. For a recent National Geographic program entitled "Titanic's Tragic Sister," Kohler and his compatriot "Shadow Diver" John Chatterton investigated what structural flaw caused Britannic to sink even faster (1 hour) than Titanic. He'll give us the insider view of the expedition, detailing what it's like to be inside such a mamouth fated wreck, and what the results of their investigation was.
Admission is $10, and all proceeds will beneift DAN (Divers Alert Network) Michael J. Norwood Fund.
We will be raffling off some silverware artifacts that Richie found inside the Andrea Doria. These are authentic artifacts in "as found" condition. Admission includes one free raffle ticket!
